Got the Derby today, absolutely love it!!!!!! This is my second one from you, my first was of course the iconic black style 300.
Got my first Derby when I was a teen and we lived on the former Fort Ord military installation.
Mom bought it at the Post Exchange at the Naval Post Graduate School on the Presidio Of Monterey. First was a black style 300 then a light blue.
Every kid at that time wore the jackets with a white sleeveless t-shirt, OD green or Khaki Army Fatigues, Knit Kicker shoes, hair net & velour Derby cap.
We thought we were the shit!
Didn't matter what ethnic group you were from, everyone wore & loved these jackets & we looked good in them. This was in the early 80's, when the first rap music and big boomboxes started to emerge.
All of this worked so well together.
I was so overwhelmed when Victor (RIP) brought these back, brings back so many great memories.
Thank you for allowing me to purchase these jackets from you and I wish you the utmost success!!!!!
My condolences go out to you & your family!!!!!
Take care,
Petey
